1:6-7 'So be truely glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold- and your faith is far more precious to God then mere gold.'
Our goal with this organization is to help the women of Haiti feel valued and loved again. We want them to continue to have hope through all of the trials and tribulations they are faced with each day.
God loves them, we love them and we want them to know they deserve respect. When I go to Haiti I am amazed to see how strong these women are. They are an inspiration to women all over the world. We want to provide a place for women to go where they feel safe, loved and cared for. Our goal is to teach them english and also how to take care of themselves. We want them to be able to make it on their own if that kind of situation ever came up in their lives. They need to know that being abused physically, emotionally or mentally is not accpetable and they deserve a life full of love and kindness.
We want them to know that God loves them and even though they struggle he will never leave them. He wants them to stay strong in their faith and always trust in him and he will give them joy and peace. I have met a lot of haitians that have an amazing faith in God and continue to trust in him no matter what they are faced with. Everyone asks the questions 'Why is this happening to us?', 'Doesnt God care about us?" when they are going through these hard times we want to provide a place for them to go and talk to someone who can build them up and help them through the trying times.
